Redemption
We will begin a new sermon series this Sunday, entitled "Redemption." I know what you may be thinking: It's a strange topic to venture into on Mother's Day. I thought so, too, until I came across Jesus's genealogy in Matthew 1. We are given this genealogy: "Salmon the father of Boaz, whose mother was Rahab, Boaz the father of Obed, whose mother was Ruth."

Mary, sister of Martha and Lazarus, pours out her love for Christ. Literally, she pours out an expensive perfume, anointing Jesus just days before his burial. However, not everyone saw her act as an act of worship, but rather as waste. Join us Sunday as we learn what devotion looks like from a woman who just wanted to give Jesus everything she had.

The story of Ruth is an incredible story of loyalty, faith and redemption. This Sunday, we will discover that even though Ruth was faithful to follow and serve her mother-in-law, she still needed a Redeemer—someone who could do for her what she could not do for herself. Join us Sunday as we learn that we all are in need of a Redeemer, a Savior; we all need Jesus.

Rahab had a sultry past before God stepped into her world. Somewhere between the spy's arrival in Jericho and the falling of the walls, Rahab put her faith in God, and God gave her redemption. Join us Sunday as we look at an unlikely mother in the lineage of Jesus and how her redemption can be our redemption, too.
