Jesus says, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” – Mark 10:45
At MC3, we are on a mission to love and serve our community. We want to help those in need and give hope to those who are hurting. We encourage our members to serve in those areas where their talents and the community’s needs meet. We might offer the perfect opportunity for your service here at MC3. Perhaps another nearby church or charitable organization has the perfect service opportunity for you. Or your passions may lead you to create your own ministry opportunity. Here are some opportunities you can pursue through MC3.
Volunteer at Lilburn Co-op: One of the local missions supported by MC3, Lilburn Co-op serves those in our community who do not have adequate food, clothing or shelter. You can sort, organize and store donations, assist in the thrift store, donate food or even organize a food drive. March is the church’s designated month to fill up the co-op’s pantry, but you can help any time of the year.
Volunteering at Lilburn Elementary School or another school in your area: Do you like kids? Do you like to read? Do you just want to give time to invest in a student’s life? There are many ways you can get involved in our local schools from working with small groups of kids or listening while a kid reads to you. Many of the kids just need a mentor in their life. No special skills are required, just a loving heart willing to share the love with kids in need.
School Prayer Group: Pick a school and form a prayer group to physically walk the campus and pray for the students and teachers.
