“The greatest among you will be your servant.”–Matthew 23:11
Serving is a key element to truly Commit to become Fully Devoted to Jesus. MC3 has a deep desire to take Christ to our community. Our desire is that every member of MC3 engage in the work of Christ, according to the gifts and passions given them by the Holy Spirit.
It takes dozens of volunteers to make church happen each week. Think about a church without small group leaders, weekend tech folks, communion preparers, etc. What would it be like? Reaching in to our church family prepares the church for action. Everyone is needed to make this church move down the many paths God places us on.
At MC3, we believe that each person is designed with a purpose—a purpose to live our lives for Christ and through this, we use our talents and gifts to serve Him and grow His kingdom. We believe that serving in the church is an honor and an act of worship. By serving, volunteers are not only connected to the church, but they have fellowship with their church family, grow spiritually, and help connect others to one another and Jesus.

Worship Ministry
Volunteers are the heart of our worship team. They serve in all positions from those out front (band members) to those you don’t see (backstage technical).
MC3’s Worship Ministry exists to honor and glorify God through the use of music, drama, art and technical support. Our goal is to provide opportunities for talented individuals to offer their gifts in worship gatherings and other special events, and to express praise and worship to our great and awesome God while leading His people to worship in a meaningful and powerful way.
If you are interested in volunteering with our team, check out the list below to see which position is best for you and contact our Worship Minister, Leslie Riley, for more information.
Worship Band
Our Worship Band provides leadership and accompaniment for our weekly Worship Gatherings. This group is open to instrumentalists (guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, percussion and others) and singers who have a passion for leading people to worship through the use of contemporary Christian music. Weekly rehearsals are usually held on Wednesday evenings after C-Groups and on Sunday mornings prior to worship.
Choir
Our Choir provides special music for our worship service two to three times each month. In addition, they present full-scale Musical Productions at Christmas, Easter and other times. This group is open to anyone (teens and adults) who loves to sing and “make a joyful noise unto the Lord.” No auditions are required.
Special Music
If you have an interest in providing special music (solos, duets, instrumental solos, etc.) for our Worship Gatherings, we are always looking for talented people who are willing to use their vocal and instrumental talents to honor and glorify God while leading His people in worship.
Drama
Our Drama Ministry provides opportunity for those who enjoy “acting up.” This ministry is heavily involved in the Christmas and Easter productions, as well as providing short sketches and dramatic moments in worship gatherings. The group is open to people of all ages (children, teens and adults). Rehearsals are scheduled on an as-needed basis prior to presentations/programs.
Tech Team
If you are a “behind-the-scenes” person who would like to be involved in the Worship Ministry, this opportunity is for you. Our Audio/Visual Crew is responsible for all of the technical aspects of our Sunday worship service and special events, including sound, lighting, live streaming, video/computer projection and video recording/camera operation. If you have experience in any of these areas, or even if you don’t (training will be provided), we would love to get you involved. Contact Keri Duncan.
Stage/Set Design
We are always looking for talented artists and builders who are interested in helping design and paint sets, build scenery and serve as stage managers for our major productions. If you are talented in any of these areas, we need you to get involved.
First Impressions
First Impressions
People make up their minds very quickly these days, so first impressions are vital to making people feel welcomed and eager to return. We need friendly faces and helpful hands on the front line to represent MC3 and the body of Christ to people who visit our campus each week. You can help make a great first impression by serving on one of these teams:
Greeting Team
This is a team of people responsible for greeting people on Sundays and other special occasions held at the church. We call them our First Impressions Team, because they are possibly the first people that anyone will meet as they enter through our doors. If you’ve never meet a stranger and love to make people feel welcomed, this would be a great place for you to serve. Contact: Thom Arrendale by email or at 770-855-9327.
Parking Lot Team
We have a need for energetic people who love being outside. Come be a part of our team that helps greet visitors and members in the parking lot.
Contact: Terence Johnson by email or at 770-820-4643
The Café
From 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Sundays, we serve coffee and goodies in the lobby outside the auditorium at Parkview High School. We need help to brew the coffee and serve the pastries.

Prayer Team
A Praying Church
16Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. – James 5:16
MC3 wants to be a praying church who reaches out and challenges everyone to follow Jesus completely. Acts 2 tells us that the early church devoted themselves to prayer. At MC3, we want to be like the early church and be devoted to prayer.
God invites us to communicate with Him through the gift of prayer. Prayer is a conversation with God and a vehicle to know Him and hear His voice. We know He is leading our church to discover a deeper relationship with Him, an understanding of the importance and power of prayer, and a greater faith in Him as we see His Kingdom come.
Opportunities for prayer
Prayer List Team (daily)
We get dozens of prayer requests every week from those who are sick, serving in the military or have needs or praise of any kind that they want carried to the Lord. We have individuals who pray every day to ensure that not a day passes without each of these requests being taken to the Lord in prayer.
Pray With the Preacher (Every Tuesday, 7 p.m.)
Join a group of dedicated prayer warriors who pray with our pastor, Art Stansberry, every Tuesday evening in Art’s office.
