The Messiah to Come

All throughout the Old Testament, we see prophecies, foreshadowings, hints of the Messiah to come. From passages as early as Genesis 3:15 and Genesis 12:3 God had been tipping His hand in sending Jesus into the world. Isaiah 7:14 says, "Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel." God with us. In this series we will look at Jesus' coming, Prophecy Fulfilled, The role of Bethlehem in Christmas, Immanuel - God with us, and Jesus being called out of Egypt.

This Sunday we will highlight some of these foreshadowings and hints from the Lord so that we might not miss Jesus coming into our world. Join us this Sunday as we launch into this new Christmas series.

Today, we started our staff meeting by asking the question, “If someone were to ask, ‘Why do you believe in Jesus,’ what would you say?” To what evidence is your faith anchored?

This Sunday, we will look specifically at the number of prophecies that Jesus fulfilled; the number is staggering! The number hovers at over 300 fulfilled Old Testament prophecies. Either someone is lying or Jesus is exactly who He claimed to be. We will examine a handful of these prophecies so that we might be better equipped to help others walk one step closer to Jesus.
