This Sunday, we wrap up our Christmas series in the book of John. John begins his witness account differently than the other three Gospels. He introduces Jesus as the "Word" and the "Light." Why did John use the illustration of light? What was the intention behind his words in the first chapter?
Join us Sunday for a post-Christmas message that will trace the theme of light across scripture and discover the true weight of who Jesus really is!
On deck this Sunday, Jesus is called the King. The Magi show up at Herod's doorstep and ask in Mathew 2:2, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” For sure, Jesus is King; He is the King of Kings. On Sunday, we will look at what we should do knowing that Jesus is the King. Can't wait to see you here; don't forget to bring a friend.
While Mark doesn't have the traditional "Christmas" story highlighting Jesus' birth, Mark does offer the perfect portrait of Jesus as the Son of God. Mark lays out this fact from the opening words of his book: "The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God." No dramatic journey of the Magi, no heavenly host singing, no quintessential manger scene—just an announcement that the Son of God, the Messiah, has arrived. Join us Sunday as we focus on Jesus as God in the flesh—Immanuel, God with us.
