We will continue our sermon series in Jesus’ last words by looking at His final words while on the cross. The cross was always the plan, as Jesus would go willingly to Calvary and pay for our sins in full. This Sunday we will unpack what Jesus meant when He said, “It Is Finished!”
Thank you for all your hard work this past weekend; you all did an incredible job making Jesus known to our community.
This Sunday, we will unpack Jesus' famous last words before ascending into Heaven. In Acts 1:8, Jesus gives the church its marching orders, its mission, saying, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Join us Sunday as we talk about what this looks like in our lives.
On Sunday, we will focus our attention on the words of one of the angels at the tomb of Jesus.
Early in the morning on Resurrection Sunday, as some of the women came to bring more spices for Jesus' body, they encountered two angels. One of the angels said to the women these incredible words: "Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!"
I love those words! What does it mean that Jesus is our "Risen" Savior?
It means that Jesus is victorious over the grave. It means we are victorious over sin and death. It means we have hope. And it means Jesus is alive.
Join us Sunday as we celebrate our risen Savior!
