What is Heaven like? Will we want to go there? Will we be bored? Are all the cartoons correct—will we be wearing a robe, sitting on a cloud, strumming a harp for an eternity? And can we do enough "good things" to walk into those "pearly gates?" This Sunday, we will focus our attention on Heaven and see what Scripture has to say about this incredible place, and how we can enter in, and help others to go there as well. Join us for a "heavenly sermon!"
C.S. Lewis wrote in Mere Christianity, “If you read history, you will find that the Christians who did most for the present world, were the ones who thought most of the next world. It is since the Christians have largely ceased to think of the other world, that they have become so ineffective in this one.”
Our desire is to bring eternity into the foreground of our focus, not the background where it tends to reside in our minds. Our hope in this sermon series is that we will trade our 70-80 year perspective for an eternal perspective, and allow it to change our hearts, change our thoughts and, ultimately, change the way we live. Join us Sunday as we fix our eyes on eternity!
