This week, we will unpack the movie, The Forge. The Forge is about 19-year-old Isaiah, who has no direction and no motivation. After being forced by his mother to get a job, Isaiah is discipled by a business owner and finds a greater purpose in following the Lord. On Sunday, we will talk about the importance of discipleship and how we are called to influence and encourage others to seek after the Lord.
In the movie Fireproof, the movie explores marriage and touches on the importance of love and forgiveness. Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 13:5, “ [Love] does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.” How many times have we selfishly put ourselves first and kept a tab on all the wrongs done to us? This week, we will discover that love puts others first and forgives those who sin against us. The challenge is how we do that.
The movie, Show Me the Father, is one you don't want to miss. It's a little different than the other movies. Show Me the Father uses real people and their real stories, and the plot twist at the end is incredible. This Sunday, we will highlight how God is our perfect Father. Yes, He is God. But He is our Heavenly Father, and our Heavenly Father knows how to give good gifts. Join us as we unpack the importance of understanding that God is our Father.
Flywheel is about a dishonest used-car salesman who has a wake-up call involving his family and his church, and decides to run his business with faith and honesty. On Sunday, we will take some of the lessons from the movie and unpack the importance of guarding our hearts. I hope to see you at a watch party . . . and I look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
