We all enjoy something New. I think this was the allure of receiving gifts at Christmas when I was a child. And if I'm honest, that excitement is still there. Jesus came that we might have New Life. Jesus said in John 10:10, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." This is the hope that Jesus brings us. New life for today and for all eternity. Join us as we look forward to the hope of new life.
This week we will unpack the hope that we have in God's amazing grace. I love how John describes Jesus' coming into our world. He says in John 1:14 that Jesus came "full of grace and truth." It was through God's grace that He would send His one and only Son. It was through God's grace that Jesus willingly went to the cross. What an incredible gift! Tune in as we discover the hope that His grace brings to us.
We all want our life to have meaning and purpose. When I think about purpose, the life of Mary, the mother of Jesus, often comes to mind. As a young girl, she saw her purpose in life as a wife, homemaker and mother--all noble aspirations. And then an angel appeared and told her she had been chosen to be the mother of the Christ-child and her purpose in life became even clearer. Join us as we discover that the Lord has given all of us a hope-filled purpose.
This week, we will unpack Matthew 1 and focus on the thrill of hope Joseph felt in being the earthly father of the Messiah. I look forward to sharing and learning with you as we ponder the role Joseph played in guiding Jesus through the early days of his life.
