This Sunday, we will wrap up our sermon series by focusing on Philippians 4. These final words from Paul encourage us to grow in our faith by focusing on some key aspects of our spiritual walk. We will unpack what it means to grow in unity, in a healthy Christian mindset, and in providing for others. Join us as we sweat the details in our spiritual growth.
This Sunday, we will highlight the importance of serving God wholeheartedly. In Philippians 3, Paul teaches us what it truly means to serve. He says in Philippians 3:8, ". . . I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ." We will learn why it is imperative that we sweat the details as we labor for the Lord.
This Sunday, we will unpack Philippians 2, where Paul encourages the church to remain obedient to God. First, Paul encourages us to be like Christ, who was sinless. Then, he encourages the church to be obedient and to do so without complaining, and, finally, he gives the church an example via Timothy. Paul says, "I have no one else like him, who will show genuine concern for your welfare. For everyone looks out for their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ." What we will discover is that obedience is putting Christ first in every decision we make. So join us Sunday as we tackle this all-important passage together.
We’ve all heard the old adage, “Don’t sweat the small stuff,” but in Philippians Paul encourages the believers to do just that, to sweat the details. For its in the details where we can truly know and serve our Lord. This Sunday we will unpack the importance of doing the little things that glorify God and highlight the Gospel message.
