This Sunday we will wrap-up our sermon series by highlighting the star of the show, Jesus. In Luke 2:7 we are told, "And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn." No room, that's a strange statement to make about the Son of God. There was no room for Him in Bethlehem, no room for Him in Herod's palace, no room for Him in the temple among the religious leaders. This Sunday we will unpack the importance of clearing out space in our lives and making room for Jesus. -Art
When was the last time you did your best? Like, your absolute best? As Christians we know we are supposed to give Jesus our best, but how do we do that? This Sunday we will unpack how we give our all to Jesus.
Today we want to build off on the rejoicing from the shepherds and focus our attention, today, on the Angels in the Christmas story. We believe that there is a lot that we can learn about simplifying Christmas by looking at the role that the angels played on that silent night in Bethlehem. And so turn with me once again to Luke 2, and let’s read the Christmas story, but this time instead of looking at the Shepherds, train your eye and brains to hone in on the heavenly host.
It seems at times that Christmas gets complicated and busy with activities, parties, programs, and shopping. So this Christmas season we want to focus on the simplicity of Christmas. This Sunday we will focus on the simple Christmas message of the shepherds to the people of Bethlehem. So join us this Sunday as we embark on a Simple Christmas.
