This Sunday we will wrap-up our sermon series by studying a woman named Mary. Mary had a sinful past, but this is not why she is remembered. She is remembered for the selfless sacrifice of anointing the feet of Jesus. This Sunday we will discover that the decisions we make here on earth will reverberate in heaven and will not be forgotten.
This Sunday, we look at one of the all-time great mean girls of the Bible. What we will witness in this story is the extreme hubris of a person who is only for herself. In fact, we can draw stark comparisons between Delilah and our enemy, Satan. What we ultimately discover is the need to guard our hearts at every moment for the enemy truly "prowls around looking for someone to devour."
In John 4:4, the Bible tells us, "Now He [Jesus] had to go through Samaria." What we will discover is that Jesus had an appointment to reach this woman with the Gospel message. Jesus is in the business of tracking down lost people. So join us this Sunday as we tackle this incredible story.
This Sunday, we embark on a new sermon series focused on some of the more notorious ladies of the Bible. We will begin by looking at "Rahab the prostitute." This is her title all throughout scripture; not because God wanted to punish her, but it shows the life from which she was rescued. Ultimately, we will discover that God can rescue us from anything if we will but seek after Him.
