This Sunday, we will close out our Ghost Stories sermon series by highlighting the fruit of the Spirit. As disciples, Jesus calls us to "bear much fruit." The Apostle Paul lists the fruit in his letter to the Galatians. We're going to focus on how this fruit springs forth in our daily lives. Spoiler Alert: It's not by our power or our might, but by His Spirit that this fruit is manifested in our lives.
This Sunday, we will continue to unpack incredible Holy Ghost stories in scripture. We will zero-in on the "work," the particular focus of the Holy Spirit. Jesus identifies this focus in John 16:14 when He says, "He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me." We will discover that the Spirit works to glorify Jesus and draw people to the truth that is found only in Christ. So join us Sunday for another round of Holy Ghost Stories.
We don't often highlight the person of the work of the Holy Spirit. And yet, Jesus said in John 16:7 that it was to our advantage that He would go away and that the Holy Spirit would come. This Sunday we will discuss the person of the Holy Spirit and how important His presence is in our life.
