This Sunday, we wrap up our sermon series in the book of Nehemiah. We will highlight the importance of obedient giving, of both our time and our money. In fact, we will learn that our financial decisions are really spiritual decisions, and those decisions can affect our impact in this world. Join us as we look at how we can build a strong church through our giving.
This Sunday, we will focus on the importance of perseverance in building a strong church. James makes an odd statement in James 1, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." Most of us would rather avoid tough situations and take the path of least resistance, and yet there are times where God actually calls us to endure and even tackle difficult tasks. In our text, Nehemiah encouraged the people to continue in rebuilding the wall, even though they were encountering opposition from the enemy outside the wall and even from within. Join us as we unlock Nehemiah's secret to unwavering perseverance.
This Sunday, we will highlight the importance of prayer in our lives and how this simple act can build up the body of Christ.
This Sunday, we will key in on Nehemiah's incredible servant leadership skills. As we work in conjunction with the Lord to build a strong church, not only is prayer essential, but so is our ability to serve and lead. Jesus pointed His disciples to this type of leadership as they argued over who was the greatest. Jesus says in Luke 22:26, "But you are not to be like that. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves." Join us as we break down Nehemiah's leadership skills and learn how to apply them to our daily walk.
